Tena incontinence pads June 14, 2009 Augusta Lange I was so surprised at the price of these pads. It said they were Tena pads and the package looked just like the Serenity Tena pads I have been purchasing but at half the price.
These pads say "Tena" but not "Serenity".
Shipment came immediately but it appears they are not as absorbent as the ones I had purchased previously.
The package does say "light" though they are sold as "heavy long". They work fine but I find I have to use more.
I would still use them but can not find the company from which I purchased them. I have the invoice but no web site. They are not listed on Amazon anymore.
Product Great, Price Horrendous February 2, 2009 L. FORSYTHE-KANE (Yorktown Heights, NY) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
My beef is not with the product itself, we've ordered them before and they fill the bill completely. My unresolved problem is the way out of line price. In 9/08 the price for 1 pkg. was $17.79...same pkg. is now $49.50!! Returned product, as I found it elsewhere for $15.99. In none of my several calls to customer service could anyone explain the outrageous price increase, except by blaming it on the manufacturer. I don't think A&P is selling it at a lose to the manufacturer. Check around, not all products are the best price here, in fact some are 3 times more than the supermarkets!
Subscribe and get ripped off!!! December 31, 2008 The Huntress of Gotham (San Diego, CA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Between November's shipment and December's, Amazon tripled the price of this item with no warning. I got a shipping notice for TWO orders when I only have a subscription for 1 a month. THEN THERE WAS THE PRICE! These pads went from around $17 to $45! Now I don't know about you, but I can't afford an unwarranted price increase like this.
From now on, I'll be going to the drug store and paying the regular price even if I have to stop by three of them to find this size.
The best product of its type November 1, 2008 Kathleen Bowen (Ellicott City, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tena Serenity Pads are by far the best incontinence aids on the market, far surpassing any other brands. Furthermore, the company continues to add improvements, such as varieties of size, absorbency, and odor control. You cannot go wrong with Serenity Pads.
Subscription Service Faultless October 24, 2008 Barnabas (Saint Louis, MO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is what the product is. It works for you, or something else works for you -- something you already know about. Problem is, these products are bulky and stockage at retail stores is something you can't count on. The Amazon subscription service solves that. You sign up for a given quantity to start with, and it is delivered promptly. Thereafter, on a periodic basis, the same quantity will be billed to you and shipped. But -- and this is the beauty of it -- before the shipment is made you are given an opportunity, via email communication, to adjust the quantity based upon your supply at home. So you can direct that this particular shipment be skipped, or the quantity adjusted up or down. Kudos for the design of this service.
